VISA TYPE:

Global Talent Visa

The Global Talent visa is an endorsement-led, non-sponsored route for individuals who are recognised leaders, or emerging leaders, in their professional field. It offers flexibility, independence from employer sponsorship, and can lead to settlement.

The route operates in two stages:

First, the applicant must obtain an endorsement from an approved endorsing body. This stage focuses on professional standing, achievements and future contribution in the UK.

Once endorsed, the applicant then makes a visa application to the Home Office. This stage assesses identity, immigration history and general suitability, rather than professional merit.

There is no requirement for a job offer, minimum salary or sponsoring employer. Eligibility depends on how clearly experience and evidence align with the endorsing body’s published criteria. As an evidence-led route, outcomes depend on clarity, relevance and structure rather than volume of material.

Support includes:

Initial eligibility and suitability assessment

  • Advice on Global Talent route structure and requirements

  • Guidance on endorsing bodies and relevant criteria

  • Structured review of evidence and supporting material

  • Application preparation and submission (visa stage)

  • Guidance on biometrics and next steps

  • Dependant advice, where applicable

We act independently of endorsing bodies and do not influence endorsement decisions

Who is this route for?

This route may be suitable for individuals who:

  • Are recognised experts or emerging leaders in their field

  • Have evidence of independent recognition or peer endorsement

  • Wish to work in the UK without employer sponsorship

  • Require flexibility to work across projects or organisations

Typical examples include:

  • Researchers, academics and scientists with published work or funded research

  • Digital and technology specialists with senior or innovative roles

  • Engineers and technical experts with sector recognition

  • Artists, designers and creatives with professional portfolios and awards

  • Clinicians or specialists with national or international standing

This route is generally less suitable for early-career applicants without independent recognition, or where eligibility depends primarily on employer sponsorship rather than individual standing.
