Who we help

We advise on:

  • Spouse and civil partner visas - for married couples and civil partners intending to live together in the UK.

  • Fiancé(e) visas - for those planning to marry or form a civil partnership in the UK.

  • Parent visas - for parents with responsibility for a child settled in the UK.

  • Child visas - for dependent children joining or remaining with a parent in the UK.

  • Switching into the family route from another visa.

  • Extensions and settlement under the family route.

If you are unsure which route is right for you, we can help you work this out before you apply.

What affects eligibility

Eligibility for a UK family visa depends on several factors:

  1. The nature and length of the relationship.

  2. The immigration status of the UK-based partner or parent.

  3. Your financial circumstances and evidence.

  4. Accommodation arrangements.

  5. English language requirements.

The income requirement

Since April 2024, the minimum income requirement for spouse and partner visas is £29,000 per year. This applies to the UK-based sponsor and must be evidenced through payslips, bank statements or other qualifying income. Meeting the threshold is only part of the picture - how the evidence is presented matters too. If you are unsure whether your income qualifies or how to evidence it, we can assess this before you apply.

Even small issues - timing, gaps in evidence or previous immigration history -can make a significant difference to outcome. An early discussion can clarify which route is suitable, what evidence you will need, and how best to present your case.

Coming to the UK to build a life with your family is an important step. Taking the time to prepare your application properly helps ensure those plans are supported by clear and consistent evidence.

Applying from Overseas..
